a little drawing to kick off the weekend...

Created on my iPad.

Star Wars: Chillin' with R2D2

I had the pleasure of hanging out with R2D2 the other day during a portrait session.  He took the opportunity to enjoy the lighter side of life...

You can grab a copy of this portrait HERE.  T-shirts, ipad skins and more are available...

Canadian Penny!

The Canadian Penny is now defunct.  However, you can commemorate the demise with this lovely little drawing of the penny that never was.

Check it out HERE  to pick up a print, t-shirt or a number of other assorted kitschy items.

Antique Tiffany Skull Lamp

Inspired by a late night Antiques Roadshow marathon, I created this Antique Tiffany Lamp complete will skulls.  I added touches of blue, pink and green to create a lovely stain glass feel.

Now to actually make it...

Star Wars: C3PO on my iPad!

New iPad Portrait and it's an homage to my youth.  You can get your print here: C3PO Print

Bev Oda: Keepin' It Real

Here's a little sketch I completed on my iPad.  It's a portrait of Canada's former minister of international co-operation, Bev Oda.  It has recently come to light that she expensed a $250 smoking fine to Canadian taxpayers before she resigned.  Good times.

She paid the fine back eventually, along with others that were deemed inappropriate.  Shortly after, she resigned.

Metropolis Egyptian Pharaoh

I have a new piece available on Society 6.  I hand drew this image and added colour digitally.  You can get it as a print, laptop cover, iPod skin and more!

Check it out! Metropolis Egyptian Pharaoh

Bees!

I'm enjoying adding digital colour to my ink sketches. Here's a little drawing just in time for Spring... Bees!

Random

Here's a little doodle I did in my sketch book. I scanned it and added some digital colour in subdued hues.

Good times.

Season's Greetings!... (after the fact...)

Here's a recent digital work I completed for the holidays. It's a seasonal piece that illustrates some of the fun to be had in Toronto during the coldest months of the year.

Based on some personal photos I took, I also cut out and scanned some snowflakes to punch up the detail and authentic feel. The original snowflakes are still hanging in my apartment...
