Bev Oda: Keepin' It Real


Here's a little sketch I completed on my iPad.  It's a portrait of Canada's former minister of international co-operation, Bev Oda.  It has recently come to light that she expensed a $250 smoking fine to Canadian taxpayers before she resigned.  Good times.

She paid the fine back eventually, along with others that were deemed inappropriate.  Shortly after, she resigned.

This painting is my response to some of the issues brought up during the most recent mayoral race in Toronto. Although the painting is now in a private collection, I've had increased interest in the work and have made it available in print form.
